I just spent the last 5 minutes trying to think of SOME WAY I/my tall boyfriend could reach my incredibly high dorm room ceiling for long enough to hang a paper chandelier. I could not figure it out.
I will make this someday.

This NY Times slideshow, On the Cheap: Thinking Like a Student, has so many beautiful, fun ideas. My favorites are covering shelves in Japanese comic book pages and clear laquer and making candlesticks from lightbulbs (pictured above). Creativity!
